A cutting-edge online platform has been introduced to streamline the application process. By utilizing their CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) numbers, individuals can easily sign up, ensuring a straightforward method to determine eligibility for assistance. With a commitment of 400 billion rupees, the government aims to assist 90 million families, underscoring the gravity and scale of the program.
Ehsaas Program’s Inclusive Approach:
This year, the Ehsaas Program extends its reach to new families, irrespective of challenges such as floods or heavy rainfall. Recognizing the increasing cost of living, the government has infused additional funds into the program to accommodate a wider demographic.
Benazir Income Support Program:
In a historic move, the Ehsaas Program now extends its support to transgender individuals. Those without a valid ID card can obtain one with a transgender marker at the nearest Nadra office. Starting Fabrary 2024, transgender individuals are eligible to receive 7,000 rupees upon registration, marking a pivotal moment in inclusivity and support.
Mobile Vehicle Registration Center:
Introducing the Mobile Vehicle Registration Center, an innovative initiative that brings registration services directly to individuals’ homes. Currently in the trial phase in Sindh, this mobile service is poised to expand nationwide, offering a convenient alternative to visiting Ehsaas Program offices. The user-friendly approach ensures that the entire process, from registration to receiving funds, can be completed from the comfort of one’s home.
To join the Ehsaas Program, families with a monthly income below 50,000 rupees, no government-employed members, landownership limited to two acres, and a poverty score of 36 or lower are eligible. The simplified sign-up process underscores the program’s commitment to inclusivity, making it accessible to all who meet the criteria.
In its holistic approach, the Ehsaas Program stands as a beacon of support, leveraging technology, inclusivity, and convenience to uplift those in need. Whether through its online platform, inclusion of transgender individuals, or the innovative Mobile Vehicle Registration Center, the government demonstrates a resolute dedication to providing a helping hand to the deserving citizens of Pakistan.
