BISP 2024 New Policy Unveiled

Introduction

The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) continues to play a pivotal role in providing financial aid to numerous low-income families across Pakistan, aiming to alleviate poverty under the auspices of the Government of Pakistan. The program, spearheaded by the BISP Chairperson, has recently introduced crucial policies to enhance its impact.

NSER Survey and Monetary Benefits

Individuals who have completed the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) survey can anticipate receiving financial assistance imminently. This initiative not only addresses economic challenges but also empowers women. Aspiring beneficiaries are required to submit their information to Benazir’s office to be eligible for financial aid.

Eligibility Criteria

To continue benefiting from the program, adhering to specific eligibility criteria is imperative:

Intended for poor and deserving individuals.

Monthly income below 30 thousand.

Family size of at least six members.

No government job within the family.

No family member employed abroad.

Zero bank account balance.

No personal vehicle or property under the applicant’s name.

Landholding less than two acres.

BISP Payment Verification

Biometric verification at designated centers ensures transparent disbursement of payments. Successful eligibility verification results in credited financial assistance. Beneficiaries receiving an SMS from 8171 are encouraged to visit their nearest center for biometric verification.

Payment Confirmation and New Registration

Confirm eligibility through mobile by sending the National Identity Card to 8171.

Respond to a survey confirmation message by visiting the nearest Benazir office.

Required documents for new registration include the applicant’s original ID card, household information list, household electricity and gas bills, and a registered phone number.

New Registration SMS Code

In a recent announcement, Dr. Amjad Saqib clarified that BISP exclusively uses the code 8171 for all communications. Any alternative code is fraudulent. To register, send your National Identity Card to 8171, and beware of fake calls or messages from other numbers.

Important Note:

Only trust messages and calls from 8171 for BISP communications.

Exercise caution to avoid falling victim to wrong codes or fraudulent communications.
