New Update About BISP Program New Payment 10,500 Rupees

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in Pakistan, known as the largest single cash transfer program in the country, is set to increase its monthly stipend from 9,000 to 10,500 rupees. This increase comes as a welcome relief to over 9 million beneficiary families who rely on this federal social safety net program.

The new installment, effective February, brings not only a financial boost but also the resumption of children’s stipends. The enhanced stipends cover three categories of children, including those who missed out on the last payment cycle.

BISP Program Enhancements

BISP teams have been diligently verifying children registered for scholarships. Once this process is completed, stipends will be disbursed to eligible children, ensuring financial support for education.

Additionally, pregnant women with children will benefit from increased stipends. The Pregnant Women Development Program now offers 2,500 rupees per child for those in flood-affected areas and 3,000 rupees for girls. Pregnant women in these areas receive 3,500 rupees per child.

Payment Disbursement

Beneficiaries typically receive payments through Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Biometric ATMs, requiring a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) for verification. Easypaisa mobile accounts are also used, providing accessibility across Pakistan.

As the new 10,500 rupee installment begins in February, beneficiaries can expect payments to start soon, with exact dates to be announced by the government.

The increase in stipends reflects the government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable populations, ensuring they receive essential financial assistance.
